# Copy curves

> This page explains how to copy curves between animations.

`BP_CopyCurves` copies float curves from one Animation Sequence to another. Use it to carry animation-driven settings across matching animation versions.

Open the target Animation Sequence. Select **Window ▸ Animation Data Modifiers**, add `BP_CopyCurves`, and configure its settings before applying it.

## Settings

![Copy curves modifier with the Source animation setting](https://mintcdn.com/kinemation/oyQuEkhb6OJwNgRz/images/gameplay-framework/unreal/modifier_copy-curves.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=oyQuEkhb6OJwNgRz\&q=85\&s=40f1c3bbf552f61afd7c382b5a310ba5)

Select the animation to copy curves from.

Set `Source` to the sequence containing the curves you want. The target is the sequence on which you add the modifier.

## What gets copied

All float curves from `Source` are copied to the target animation. Curves with matching names are replaced.

Other target curves remain. Bone animation and notifies are not copied. Key times are copied as authored, so use sequences with matching timing.

## Revert

Keep a copy of the target animation before applying the modifier. **Revert** does not restore curves replaced by this modifier.
