# Installation

> This page explains how to install the pack and run the demo.

Install Survival Pack from your Fab library, or open the project.

## Via the Launcher

Open the **Epic Games Launcher** and find Survival Pack in your **Fab Library**.

Use the available installation action and select a compatible Unreal Engine version.

Open the installed project.

## Open the project directly

If you already have the project files, open `SurvivalFPSPack.uproject` with the matching Unreal Editor version.

## Check the installation

Enable **Enhanced Input** in **Edit ▸ Plugins** if it is disabled, then restart when prompted.

In the **Content Browser**, open `/Game/KINEMATION`. Keep the shared `Common` folder alongside the pack's folder. The character, items, camera, and animation assets reference it.

The shared Common folder and Survival\_FPS\_Pack must stay together.

Open `/Game/KINEMATION/Survival_FPS_Pack/Demo/Maps/Survival_Pack_Map` and press **Play**. You can move, switch items, use tools, consume food or medicine, and try the weapons with BP\_Survival\_Character.

To bring the pack into an existing project, follow the [integration guide](https://docs.kinemation.xyz/survival-pack/unreal/tutorials/project-integration.md) after trying the demo.

The project is associated with Unreal Engine 5.2. For a Launcher installation, use a version offered for the pack in your library.
